Weekend at a Glance: Wear Your Good Stuff #85

bemagazine.jpg

This year, I've decided that I'm going to wear my good stuff. At my old job, I was on my feet a lot, so I wore flats the majority of the time. I've neglected my heels for far too long. It's time to put them to good use.Sunday, I made brunch plans with my new friend, who is an interior designer, Niki. I met her via social media a long while ago but we first met in person at my first blog event last year. I was so excited to see another shorty, lol. Anyway, I wanted to catch up with her because she's awesome and has an AWESOME story, and to eat, of course. So lets talk about my experience at Murhpy's. I've been here for brunch once before and it was okay. I decided to straw away from ole faithful West Egg and try something else. Well, I ordered the shrimp and grits and was highly disappointed. My shrimp were a little too fresh so I sent my plate back. I really hate being that person but I don't believe in eating bad food. I ordered something else and a few hours down the road, it also did not fair well with my stomach. Moral of the story, stick with what you know, lol. Murphy's is VERY popular in Atlanta but it's just not for me.After that, I headed to Relax & Rejuvenate at My Fair Sweets. It was hosted by my friend Arkeedah and presented by Women in PR. Makeup, hair, nails, appetizers, goodie bags, massages, who would say no to all of that?bemagazineChatting it up with Shawntel.Great to finally meet you, Courtney! (LP blog reader :D)Hope you all had an enjoyable MLK day!
