Weekend at a glance: the arts #41

It used to be that every day of the weekend had to be chuck filled with activities. Now I'm simply too tired, and over, all of that. The highlight of my Friday nights have been a mindless number of Say Yes to the Dress episodes. Oh, and a pizza. Mmmm!Saturday, I felt like staying indoors again and work on my visionboard. I realized I only cut out fashion pictures. I didn't mean to! It just happened...Sunday was very very long. I woke up early to do a shoot with my friend Viergie. When she first told me that she wanted to do it at a cemetery, I wasn't really scared. I was a little confused but I was down. As long as we didn't have to do it at night. We met in the morning and boy oh boy was it cold. I mean downright frigid. Besides that, the Decatur Cemetery has got to be the most beautiful one I've ever seen. People were jogging and walking their dogs as if it were a park. There was even a large pond with ducks paddling through. I almost forgot that I was in a cemetery.Here's a snap shot taken on my iphone from the shoot. Can't wait to see the rest.Later that evening, I went to the Robert Glasper concert. Ah-Maz-Zing. His band  wasBEYOND dope. I also loved that each musician had their turn to shine.There were special appearances and musical selections by Chrisette Michele, Bilal and Musiq Soulchild.The show went on well into my bedtime but I didn't care. I was in musical wonderland. LOL.After the show is the...after party.I really should've headed home but I didn't want to miss out on a possible jam session. I headed over to Cafe Circa with a few friends and we had a blast. Met some...interesting people as well. Shout out to my friends Mishael, Kelsey and ReShanda. And my new friend Janeen.Big ups to Casey Bejamin (middle)!! Dude played every freakin instrument. And he's also the lead on the vocorder aka autotune, lol. Truly blew my mind.
