Style Spotlight: Kimberly Brown

Happy Valentine's Day! Thought I would share something special for the stylish lovers out there.I remember seeing this young lady singing at church and I was blown away by not only by her amazing voice but her stellar looks. I kept thinking, "my goodness, she's flawless!" With certainly a charming and cheery attitude to match. Introducing someone so naturally fabulously, it's pretty much incomprehensible. IMG_8061 copy copia Tell us your name, where you’re from and what you do.Kimberly M. Brown from Detroit, MI. I am a Mortgage Banker / Personal Style Blogger. How would you describe your style?Trendy Effortless Chic...Very much a Carrie [Bradshaw] girl. a) It's Valentine's Day. How are you going to romanticize your look?Big luscious curls and a great smokey eye! photo (5) (1) b) What advice would you give a young lady wanting to create a flirty & fun wardrobe?Colors are your friend! Make sure you have all the basic colors in your wardrobe. Buy quality pieces you can mix and match, and a great mix of lace and tulle are classic fun and flirty items every fashionista should have. Also, accessories are going to be the key component to helping give any look that extra wow factor. Statement necklaces are a fun start. What celebrity inspires your style and why? It's a mixture of a few celebrities. When I think of great style, Diana Ross, Gwen Stephani, Sarah Jessica Parker (I'm such a Carrie girl), Naomi Campbell, Tracee Ellis Ross, and Bianca Jagger automatically come to mind.I love how these women are not afraid to be who they are. Their personal style is a reflection of their boldness to live confidently and be their unique selves. I have always gotten inspiration from vintage, edgy, yet classicly inspired looks, and these women are the epitome of effortless chic. If you had to give all of your clothes away, what are five things that you would keep?
  • Fendi bag
  • Purple leather Gucci Clutch
  • Karen Millen lack black blouse
  • Karen Millen black pencil skirt
  • J-Brand black jeans

What does having style mean to you?Having style means being able to make any look your own. It means looking just as fabulous in t-shirt and jeans as you would look in a pencil skirt and heels. Having great style is natural and effortless. It isn't something that can be taught, it's just something a person exudes.Kimberly_Brown-0191-webWhat advice would you give to someone trying to find their own style?Do what makes you feel great! Be bold, be YOU! Take inspiration from others with great style that you admire, and make it your own. Don't be afraid to try new things and HAVE FUN!!
