Sock It To Me

photo-2.jpg

So excited to feature a guest post by friend and fellow blogger, Danielle of Olive Juice & S'Mores blog. I reached out to her about collaborating because she has such a fun style, reflective of her personality. I saw a few of her Winter posts on Instagram and just knew a cool covering of her style is just the dusting this blog needed. So for today, we've switched blogs. Check hers out for my post. Don't be shy, show her some love.

This winter has been really bold lately, but you know what? It has inspired me to be bold too! Often times people limit their style options for fear of what others will think. I always say go for it. Your individual style is what makes you unique. So you know what I did? I decided to add some flavor to this dusty winter with an open-toe sandal and sock combination. Yep, you read that correctly! Taboo, faux pas, complete fashion blasphemy or something mentionable if styled correctly? Who’s to say that we have to limit ourselves? – Certainly not me.

If you’re feeling bold too, then join the party! In my opinion, this look should only be done with sandals, platforms, heels or booties. Either way, a high heel is a must. Otherwise you run the risk of just looking crazy, and that my friend, is not the goal. There are so many different ways you can style this duo. You can pair it with a vintage dress, a skirt and blouse or even a pair of skinnies. Don’t be afraid to be versatile and creative!

Style Details:
Black Dress: H&M
Blazer and Denim Top: Target
Sandals: Dillard's
Necklace: eBay
Watch: Michael Kors
