For the longest, I told people I wanted to move to Dallas. That trip was dedicated to testing out the Dallas waters. Turned out, Dallas wasn't really for me.If you're reading this post, I should just be landing in New York. My last week-long trip was for pleasure but this time, I'm looking on a purpose-filled mission.Everyone seems to think I belong in New York. I don't. What I do know is that if I want to work at any publishing company of high regard, New York is the place to be. (Conde Nast, I will see you soon!)This won't be my first extended stay in New York though. I was there for ten days back in 2009 visiting a friend. Surprisingly, I didn't get to do much sight-seeing. This time around, I'm more nervous than the last because I'm in search of my future, basically.I will try my hardest not to sashay down the streets of Manhattan to the beat of the Sex and The City theme song.Cheers to having the courage and taking the steps to pursue dreams, no matter how long it takes.
