Love's in Need of Love Today

"Where there is love there is life." — Mahatma GandhiIt is quite apparent that many people are on a quest; be it to find the meaning to life, purpose or otherwise. It is the insatiable desire within us to always seek more, believing that there is something better to come. Without love and a loving mindset in the midst of this search, it's pointless. When I observe the behaviors of others, I recognize that lack of love. I recognize that sometimes we react in ways that are unhealthy because of the love we lack for ourselves and for others. We say unkind things in moments of anger. We push people away when they try to get too close. We disregard the ones that pay us the most attention. We mistreat the ones that give us everything. It may not be intentional, but it happens.I'm probably a hypocrite in writing all of this because I'm not the best at showing love. It makes me uncomfortable. I'm learning now more than ever that as the Bible says, love is patient and love is kind. Love love's the seemingly unlovable! Love does not require our judgment in order to receive it.Everyone uses different avenues to express their need for love, support and healing. Whether it's through sex, drugs, God, money, or the pursuit of success and fame. Our job is not to judge but to attempt to restore. We should attempt to break the desire to isolate oneself and feelings of loneliness and replace them with care and concern. Our love is dying and in need of repair. All it takes is a smile, a hug, a caress, a willingness to continue. You never know what someone is going through. Be kind today. Love needs it.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-z2LNsifEzgmiss lucy
