I'm socially challenged

It's that time of year when we reflect over all we are thankful to have accomplished. As a result of these successes (and in celebration of life), we are more inclined to give back. In this spirit, lets discuss what it means to support and give back in the social realm.socialmedia activism“No one is useless in this world who lightens the burdens of another.”  ― Charles Dickens I've participated in and promoted my share of causes here on this blog. It's important to me to support campaigns that I connect with on a personal level. I'm grateful for a lot of things. I know that I may not have much, but my purpose here on Earth is to serve others. You can serve with your time, your money and/or your talents, if you choose.Back at the Fiesta Movement camp, we're discussing our final challenge: SOCIAL ACTIVISM. I've seen some pratty rad challenges from the YouTube agents. Here's my favorite one about paying it forward, or in this case, backwards:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=swzCQotDQykFor my challenge, I'm thinking...random acts of kindness? Volunteering at a nursing home? Donate funds to a local charity? Support a small business? Raise awareness on one of my favortie casues? I haven't decided yet but please, give me ideas!

Speaking of causes. The crafty people behind the Fiesta Movement hold one cause near and dear to their heart too. On Thursday, December 12th at 9pm EST, YouTube will host the third annual Tube-athon, a live-streamed holiday party featuring huge YouTube stars and Hollywood celebrities. For every tweet with the hashtag #Tubeathon or #FiestaMovement,  What’s Trending and Fiesta Movement will donate $1 to Covenant House. How easy is that?!Lets get this giving season started on the right foot.
