As you may know, if you've been following my blog for a while and my other social platforms, I'm a proud Haitian-American. Seeing fellow Haitians display their pride online always makes me extremely happy. Enter Paola Mathe, blogger at Finding Paola and creator of Fanm Djanm headwraps.
Paola is from Pétionville, Haiti and moved to New York City over a decade ago. I came to know of her after seeing her lovely headwraps on Instagram. She started a movement that allows women of all colors to see how strong and beautiful they are and can be.

The brand: A collection of colorful and stylish headwraps to celebrate strong women from around the world.
The movement: There are strong women everywhere. Some know their strength, and others haven't yet figured theirs out. This brand is to empower women from all walks of life to be bold, beautiful, and powerful.
I love that some of her Fanm Djanm headwraps are named after strong women or phrases in Kreyòl. Y'all, if I really knew how to wrap my hair, I would be rocking all of these styles.I'm literally obsessed with these images. Who would've imagined a headwrap being used to convey strength and beauty? And it does so well!
Paola doesn't just sell Fanm Djanm headwraps, she has tons more goodies in her shop. Jewelry, clothes, bags. Whatever tickles your fancy. I don't know Paola but I'm proud of her work. I'm proud that she fearlessly pursues her dreams and that's a beautiful sight to see.
