Discipline: Getting the Dirty Work Done

disciplineHow many times have you sat down to complete a task and ended up watching television instead? The next thing you knew, your entire day was gone and you hadn't gotten any work done. Just me?Everyone is gearing up for change. It's that time of year. We get excited, we begin to prepare and then something happens.YOU GOT DISTRACTED.As if the internal "new year, new me" struggle were not enough, you have other societal pressures to remind you to get things done. The challenge this year will be to organize all of my daunting tasks and attack them one by one. Easier said then done.I know me. I'm a procrastinator. I'll wait till the very last second before focusing an assignment. But, in order to arrive at success, you must habitually do the dirty work. You have to have discipline. Take whatever it is apart piece by piece until it is checked off your to-do list. The New Year always gives me a sense of urgency. There's so many great things in store for all of us when we diligently do the work.See you at the top.
